Can I link my ethernet cable from my 20 GB PS3 to my lap top for wireless connection?
fvllyloaded asked:
My laptop is connected through the internet through it’s own built-in wi-fi connection. The router is in my cousin’s room. If I connect an ethernet cable from my 20GB PS3 to my wireless laptop, will I be able to connect to the internet on my PS3? If not, any serious ideas?

yes u can
yes
Sadly you cannot.
Yea im like 98% sure u can. and anyways its worth a try just plug it and see what happens
No. Buy a wireless adapter for your console, or cheaper way would be a long ethernet cable.
No. The ethernet ports on the PS3 and laptop are both INputs, not OUTputs.
Yes but the 20GB PS3 should have wireless I believe. Either way you need Cat5 Crossover cable not an ethernet cable that way data can transfer both ways and not just one. But all you should need to do is connect it with the Cat5 cable and make sure your latop is online. Run the PS3 wirless config and you’ll be fine.
Cat 5 cables are cheap and can be found at most electronic retailers like Best Buy and Radio Shack
