Amazon.com link in my MySpace Profile won’t work?

I don’t know a whole lot about html but it seems like this should be working. They create a link and I copy and paste the html but when I preview the page the image is the “x” and there are two dots next to where the image should be.
The link works fine, but it isn’t displayed correctly.
Here’s what Amazon.com says to do (which I don’t fully understand–especially the lower left text box part):
“IMPORTANT: Save this image to your server, then cut and paste the HTML code in the lower left textbox into your web page.”
Does that mean that it won’t work in MySpace?
can you please copy and paste the code that you’re using..

this is what i would do. right-click the image from amazon and save it onto your computer. then upload that image to, or, or even onto your myspace pictures into a private album. from there, use this script to place the link where ever you want:

There may be an issue with the actual link to your graphic. I find it sometimes best to put that graphic in my MySpace images, then link to it. How?
1) Log into your Amazon Associates site and locate the ad you want to use.
2) Right click on the image and save it to your computer.
3) Go to your MySpace pics ad page and upload the image to a new folder, separate from your regular photos.
4) View find the image in your pics and right click on it. Choose Proprties and double click on the image location link. Right click and choose Copy.
5) Edit your MySpace Profile and replace the current image location with the one you just copied.
6) Save your changes and view your profile.
